Norms

The InsightProfiles system was jointly developed by ChoicePoint, Inc. and a team of Industrial Psychologists to provide companies with an accurate, cost effective, and easy-to-use tool to help you take the guesswork out of making hiring decisions.

Our goal from the beginning was to develop a system that would give the hiring manager the kind of information that he/she needs to better evaluate the candidates who apply for a position opening.

The InsightProfiles system offers many features that are not typically found in competing online assessment systems. In particular, our test has been normed in a sample of over 20,000 actual job applicants.

This means that our results and norms reflect the way that actual job candidates take a test in an employment setting, as opposed to the way someone might take a test if their goal was simply to find out more about their own personality. We also report a candor index developed on actual applicants in order to further help you identify candidates who may be trying to present an unrealistically positve view of themselves.

The system also allows you to define target profiles for successful performers that you can tailor to your specific situation.

From a technical perspective, this system meets all of the important legal requirements you expect to find. It has been professionally developed and empirically validated, it is psychometrically reliable, and it has not been found to produce adverse impact with respect to any protected groups. It also meets ADA requirements with respect to not containing items that may reflect gender or any disabilities.

All test norms are unisex, and the assessment test contains no offensive items.
