Profile Matching
The InsightProfiles system was designed to allow your hiring managers the abiltiy to examine how each applicant stands with respect to a detailed profile of 15 key dimensions of personality and a measure of problem-solving ability.
Such information is valuable both in the abstract, as well as when it is used to compare the candidate's profile against the target profile of personality scores seen among high-performing employees who hold the job in question. The system provides you with two ways to identify a target profile.
You can develop your own customized target profile by first testing a sample of your current top performers on the InsightProfiles assessment. Once that is done, you can save a target profile based on their results, and then automatically compare each of your job applicants against that standard to see how similar they are to the people you know are already successful in the job.
Alternatively, you can select a target profile that is based on the scores obtained by top-performing employees from a group of other organizations having the same job title. We have many profiles in our database that have already been developed for key titles found across a number of industries. This allows you to benchmark against the best in your hiring process.
For an example of the profile-matching process, please see page 2 of the sample feedback report that you may download.
We are always glad to provide you with all the assistance you need if you wish to develop customized target profiles for your organization.
Once a profile has been selected for a specific job, each candidate applying for that job will automatically be compared to that profile when computing their feedback report. The system will then calculate an overall match score between 1 and 10 that tells you how similar the candidate is in comparison to the top performers used to form the target profile.
The match score also sensitive to the candor level of the candidate. That is, if the candidate has a candor score that suggests faking, their overall match score is automatically penalized to reflect that fact.
